  • Old School Shows

Recently me and some friends were remeniscing about all those shows that we used to watch and how great they were. It is always lots of fun doing this, especially when you suggest something, no one remembers then all of a sudden the light switches on and then "OOHHHHHH" and you all sing a bit of the theme tune or remember the key parts.Of course what follows is the mandatory internet search for any remnants of your favourite childhood shows, half of which are either on bad youtube versions or not around at all - others(cough power rangers cough) have mutated into wierder versions.
Here are a few (that I can remember) that we thought of, and a few that just popped into my head.
    Demon Headmaster
    Tots TV
    Rosie and Jim
    The Wild Thornberrys
    Aquila
    Round the Twist
    Bernards Watch
    The Queens Nose
    Fun House
    Jungle Run
    Albert the 5th Musketeer
Noah and Saskia (if anyone can find any version of this pls pls pls let me kno)
    Get Your Own Back
    Arthur
    My Parents are Aliens
    Rugrats
    Xena Warrior Princess
    Conan the Barbarian
    The Tribe
    Dangermouse
    Babar

Feel free to comment with some more or your own - remember I'm a 90s child so I may not rememeber some of the older ones, unless they are classics of course like Bagpuss, Moomins, The Clangers.. gosh I should have put those on the list lol

  • Take me to 140 Grime Street

As we all know (or should know) Kano is one the best british grime artists in the game - been here for a long time and continues to keep it fresh and step up the game.
Having only jsut heard his new album (140 Grime Street) I am now a fully fledged fan of UK Grime. Before this I was just a casual listener, barely knowing the names of the artists on the scene but still knowing the tracks. However this album has made me want to download (sorry did I say download? I meant buy...cough cough) some grime so I can have the bassline rocking me on the way to uni.
Apart from the fact that Kano has a sick flow, every track is produced so well and has had me ignoring my books for the past hour and driven me to write this blog in praise. The whistlin on Huntin we will go has me shaking my head in disbelief each time(disbelief at the cleverness and timing of the whole thing), and as soon as I heard Anywhere we go my speakers were on the max and I had those gun fingers in the air!!
Unfortunately I missed Kano on tour with his last album (which was and still is the bomb) so hopefully I will catch this one - even if it means me running home to London from the north for what I'm sure will be the best gig I will attend this year..so when is it bruv??
