  • Waltz with Bashir

I just watched Waltz with Bashir and I can't seem to get it out of my head. First of all it's an amazing film which I would recommend to everyone.

Somehow it has left me with this kind of stillness. It was coming to the end and I found myself hoping for a final sentence to end it and finalise everything but I knew it wouldn't happen.
Whenever I am telling myself to keep it together I always start blinking and I have been doing so for the last 30 mins.

    Absolutely amazing.

It opens your eyes to the sorts of things people go through, and to anyone who is thinking why animation: it is totally appropriate and you have to see it to understand why. I could attempt some kind of explanation but I'm sure I wouldn't do it justice.

Just watch it, 5/5 without a doubt.

  • Baggage Claim

Don't you love to travel?? I just came back from sunny Jamaica, but one thing has just struck me about the whole airport debarcle. I know realise why it is called baggage Claim.

Of course you are meant to collect your luggage therefore claiming it as yours - but that is not the real claiming going on! I went to the conveyor belt and stood a fair distance back - meaning 3 to 4 steps - so that I could see my bag in the distance and have enough time to drag it off - filled with goodies of course! However some people find it necessary to block the path and Claim a front row standing postion! So 3 people -one by one mind you - came and stood directly in front of me as if I were not trying to look for luggage, like it was my pasttime to stand and look at other peoples suitcases! I was not amused, and resolved to barge past them if my cases came by. However I thought better of this and moved away and started the whole process again, only this time everytime someone got a footstep in front of my I huffed loud enough for a steam train and moved my one suitcase as if I were incredibly laboured. This didn't stop them, didn't make me feel any better either, but luckily my last suitcase took so long that by the time it came out most of the crowd had left and my original waiting area - complete with breathing space - was free again!
